How do you watch League of Legends replays? There’s a program for Windows called LOLReplay that allows you to watch any League of Legends replay from your games. The program stores data files that you can execute and re-watch your favorite League replays.

Well, I sure as hell don’t want another program to do this or waste space on my computer storing those data files! Half of my games aren’t worth re-watching.

An alternative is replay.gg

Replay.gg is a website that tracks your League of Legends games and e-mails you a command that triggers the spectate mode much like LOLReplay to re-watch your game.

Step 1) Install League of Legends

To use the website that updates you with your replays, you must have League of Legends installed. To install League of Legends, visit the website for your region.

After storing the executable, you can install the game and wait for the download to finish.

Step 2) Open the program into the League of Legends login screen and sign in.

There are two parts of League of Legends. The client and the actual game engine. When you open the League of Legends application, it takes you to the following screen:

Launch the game client until you get into the login screen and sign in.

3) After you sign in, edit your summoner profile and rename one of your rune pages to “replay.gg”

Make sure that you save the new name of your rune page.

4) After you have saved your rune page name, you can visit replay.gg

At replay.gg, you can select the summoner name that has a rune page named replay.gg and use an e-mail to receive updates on the games that the summoner account has played. Inside these e-mails, you’ll receive a command that allows you to spectate your old League of Legends games.

5) If you saved your rune page name correctly and after doing the captcha, you will receive e-mails with the commands for spectating future games.

HERE contains a link that leads you to the actual command that will allow you to spectate the game.

You can re-watch the game on either Windows or Mac, but you need to have the LoL AIR client running, meaning that you need the following at least open to the log-in screen or already logged into the game.

6) For Windows users, you can copy the command from the replay.gg generated website and paste it into the terminal.

You must have the LoL client at least open to the log-in page!

When you press enter, League of Legends will issue the command to re-watch that specific game. It will be like spectator mode for that particular game. Enjoy!
